William "Bill" Desrosiers Sr.

William “Bill” Desrosiers Sr., 86, of Cranston, passed away peacefully Thursday, August 29, 2024, at Bayview Rehabilitation at Scalabrini in North Kingstown. He was the beloved husband of Maya (Shteynberg) Desrosiers.

Born in Fall River, MA, he was a son of the late Frank and Rose (Rego) Desrosiers.

After graduating high school, Bill studied drafting and worked as a manual drafter with Raytheon Corporation in Newport for many years.

Bill was a man of many hobbies, he enjoyed reading, listening to music, piloting and in his later years handmaking wood model airplanes. Most of all Bill loved ballroom dancing, he was a member of The Dancing Feeling Dance Studio in Warwick. It was there that Bill met his dance partner and love of his life Maya.

Besides his wife, Bill is survived by his children; William Desrosiers Jr. of North Dartmouth, MA, Stephen M. Desrosiers of Somerset, MA., and Susan E. Sanders of Prospect, CT, Maya’s children; Serge Rozkov of Sarasota, FL and Alexander Rozkov of Melissa, TX. He also leaves behind his grandchildren, Andy, Aaron, and Danny, his great grandchildren Keira and Jacob. Bill was predeceased by his brother Frederick Desrosiers and his sister Irene Whalen.

Relatives and friends are invited to gather for calling hours Thursday, September 5, 2024, 1:00 – 3:00 PM at the “WOODLAWN” Funeral Home, 600 Pontiac Ave., Cranston.
