William Ayres Obituary

William S. Ayres, 80, of Cranston, a veteran of the US Navy who served during peacetime, passed away Saturday, September 21, 2024 at HopeHealth Hulitar Hopice Center. Born in Providence, he was a son of the late Milton and Mary (Sutton) Ayres.

He was the father of Bonnie Ayres, Christine Simrill, Joanna Ayres and the late Kathy Ayres; grandfather of Megan and Ian; and the brother of the late Thomas Ayres.

Following Bill’s expressed wishes there was no service. Burial took place privately in the Sutton family lot at North Burial Ground, Providence.
