Our beloved father has passed away. Vittorio “Victor” Cima, age 83, of Cranston, died Saturday, April 6, 2024 at home surrounded by his family. He joins our mother, Maria Civita (Guglietti) Cima in heaven. They married in Italy in 1965 and moved to Rhode Island in 1966, making their home in Cranston. He was born in Fondi, Italy to Nicola and Luigia (D’Angelis) Cima.
He leaves his loving children, Victor Cima Jr. and LoriAnn Marro (her husband Kevin) with whom he lived. His cherished grandchildren, Kevin Paul and Amelia Rose. He was predeceased by his brother Frank Cima. He also leaves behind his in-laws, Anna Cima, Silvana Porreca, Salvatore and Jeannie Guglietti, Connie and Bob Legacy and his loving nieces and nephews.
He owned and operated Victor Cima & Son’s Garage in Cranston for 30 years. Victor was an avid bicyclist for more than 40 years, who along with his bicyclist family participated in many long distance and charity rides. He rode his bike every day. He was deeply loved, admired and the epitome of what a father should be.
His funeral will be held Saturday, April 13, at 9 am from the “WOODLAWN” Funeral Home, 600 Pontiac Ave., Cranston, with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10am in St. Mary’s Church, Cranston. Burial will follow at St. Ann Cemetery. Visitation will be held in the “WOODLAWN” Funeral Home Friday, April 12, from 4pm until 7pm.
