Viriato “Victor” M. Raposo, 53, of Seekonk, passed away peacefully with his family surrounding him, Saturday, June 29, 2024 at the HopeHealth Hospice Center. He was the husband of Jennifer (Dessert) Raposo.
Born Feb. 1, 1971, in Sao Miguel, Azores, he was the son of Irondina (Cordeiro) Raposo and the late Viriato B. Raposo.
Victor was a beloved son, brother, husband, father, grandfather, and friend, and will be deeply missed by those fortunate enough to have known him. He had a charismatic personality and often captured the attention of others with his stories and insights. Dedicated employee of Prysmian where he grew, taught, and impacted those surrounding him. Victor also enjoyed his time with his family, friends, and dog Scout. He had a love for online gaming, gardening, and helping others. His outgoing personality and humor will be treasured by all.
In addition to his wife of 29 years and his mother, he leaves five daughters, Thea Raposo, Amanda Raposo, Taylor Raposo, Gabriella Raposo, and Kate Raposo; three sisters, Laura Medeiros, Ana Borges and Elizabeth Barbosa; and his granddaughter, Maddison Cyr; and his loving companion Scout
Relatives and friends are invited to calling hours on Friday, July 5, from 4pm until 7pm in the “WOODLAWN” Funeral Home, 600 Pontiac Ave., Cranston. A funeral service will be held Saturday, July 6, at 10am in the “WOODLAWN” Funeral Home, 600 Pontiac Ave., Cranston, with entombment following at Sts. Peter and Paul Mausoleum at St. Ann Cemetery.
