Todd Shanley, 55 of Cranston, passed away Wednesday, March 11, 2026 after an ongoing battle with Cancer.
Born in Providence on October 29, 1970, he was the son of Dianne Shanley and the late Arthur Culotta.
Although Todd’s life was short, he lived an interesting and full life. Todd pursued several different careers, he moved to New York to shoot his shot in acting and modeling while also working in construction. He took a few modeling jobs, including “Mister October” one year and landed small parts as tv show extras including an appearance on Law And Order. He also started his own business promoting a number of New York City nightclubs. Todd always liked to be the center of attention, he was able to capture people’s attention by his looks, humor, and witty personality. Most of all Todd was selfless and caring. While in New York he selflessly volunteered to serve the community during 9/11 at Ground Zero. After Todd returned to Rhode Island, he began working as a carpenter for the Providence Housing Academy. Outside of work he had several hobbies; fishing, photography, antiquing, listening to music, and cooking.
Besides his mother, Todd is survived by his son Liam and Liam’s mother Denise Shivnarian. He is also survived by his companion Leah McLaughlin. He was the half brother of Patty Culotta, nephew of Shelia Zoglio and Brenda Shanley and cousin to Darlene, Frankie, and Tony Zoglio.
Todd will be deeply missed by all those who knew him.
Relatives and friends are invited to his visitation, Wednesday, March 18, from 4:00 pm until 7:00 pm in the “WOODLAWN” Funeral Home, 600 Pontiac Ave., Cranston. His funeral service will be held Thursday, March 19 at 11:00 am in the funeral home. Burial will follow in Pocasset Cemetery, Cranston.
