Timothy J. Gaskin, Sr.

Timothy J. Gaskin, Sr., 65, of Johnston, passed away peacefully at Miriam Hospital, Monday, July 8, 2024. He was the beloved husband of 43 years to Dawne A. (Loffredo) Gaskin.

Born February 19, 1959, in Providence, Timothy, was the son of the late Charles and Dorothy (Youde) Gaskin.

Timothy was a skilled carpenter and contractor. He loved spending weekends away in Cape Cod and New Hampshire with his family and cherished friends.  He’ll always be remembered for his fun cookouts and always making everyone feel loved. He was a devoted husband, dad, Papa, Uncle & Coach.

Besides his wife, he is survived by his children, Timothy J. Gaskin, Jr., Michael Gaskin, Sr. and his wife Nicole, Nicole Pepper and her husband Nicholas. He was the father of the late Nicholas J. Gaskin. He was the brother of Charles, Ronald, Donald, Richard, Jeffery, and Patricia Gaskin, Holly Moniz, Dorothy Melo, Heide Cole, Susan Calderone, and the late Stephen Gaskin.

He was the son-in-law of Patricia Jasparro. He was the brother-in-law of Marco and Brenda Loffredo, Frank and Brenda Loffredo, Cathy Gaskin, Helen Gaskin, Maria Gaskin and the late Jerry Loffredo and the late Joseph Moniz. He was the grandfather of Nathan, Noah, and Natalia Pepper, Michael Gaskin, Jr. and Aviana Gaskin, Karmen Kraus, and Darnashia, Nevaeh Plaisted and Natasha Plaisted. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, and friends.

His funeral will begin Monday, July 15 at 8:30 am from the “WOODLAWN” Funeral Home, 600 Pontiac Ave., Cranston, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 am in Our Lady of Grace Church, Johnston. Burial will be private. VISITATION Sunday, July 14, 4:00 – 7:00 pm in the “WOODLAWN” Funeral Home.
