Thomas A. Iacobucci, 92 passed away at home in Cranston, December 18, 2020. He was the beloved husband of the late Claire (DeChristopher) Iacobucci. Born in Providence, he was the son of the late Phillip and Rose (Cipolla) Iacobucci.
Mr. Iacobucci was an inspector for the city of Cranston for many years. He served the United States Navy during World War II, receiving the World War II Victory Medal and the Good Conduct Medal.
He was the father of the late Thomas A. Iacobucci Jr. leaving behind his sons, Steve M. Iacobucci and his spouse Cathy, Mark A. Iacobucci and his spouse Lisa and his daughter in law, Elizabeth Dias – Iacobucci. He was the grandfather of 10, Kayla Rowe, Crystal Fermin, Timothy Iacobucci, Emily Iacobucci, Carey Curci, Brendon Iacobucci, Carissa Iacobucci, Kassidy Iacobucci, Kyle DeResta, Brittany DeResta, and great-grandfather of 8, Jaden, Camden and Ailey Fermin, Gabriella DeResta, the late Easton Thomas DeResta, Sloan and Marion Rowe, and Luke Curci. Tom leaves behind many friends and relatives.
Thomas Iacobucci was loved by all and known to everyone as grandpa. He enjoyed things such as playing cards every Friday night with the guys from Elmwood Sports as well as his Thursday afternoon cribbage game. In his early years Tom bartended at Lindia’s bar where he met and became friends with Red Sox Hall of Famer, Ted Williams. For many years Tom participated in bowling leagues and was undefeated in horseshoes which he enjoyed. What Tom loved most was spending time outside with his family and friends while listening to some music and having a cold one.
