Sylvia (DeCarlo) Moura

Sylvia (DeCarlo) Moura, 90, of Coventry, passed away unexpectedly Monday, April 21, 2025. She was the beloved wife of Thomas J. Moura.

Born in Providence, she was a daughter of the late Teobaldo and Domenica (Trocolli) DeCarlo.

She was a loving wife,mother, grandmother, great grandmother and great great grandmother. She was an avid New York Yankees fan. She was a very sweet person well liked by everyone she met.

In addition to husband of 71 years, she leaves her son and daughter-in-law, John and Joanne Moura; 3 grandchildren, Peter Moura, Christopher Moura and his wife Mary, Dina Callhoun and her husband Justin; 5 great grandchildren, Elise Callhoun, Cameron Batista, Courtney Batista, Blossom Sotomayer and Kenneth Villa; and 3 great-great grandchildren, James Chancey, Greyson Chancey and Maverick Rocha. She was the sister of the late Carmella Ventriglia.

Visitation will take place Friday, April 25, from 10am until 11am in the “WOODLAWN” Funeral Home, 600 Pontiac Ave., Cranston, where a funeral service will begin at 11am. Burial will follow at St. Ann Cemetery. Relatives and friends are invited to attend.
