Sun Lim Obituary

Sun H. Lim, 85, of Cranston passed away peacefully at home on May 11, 2020, surrounded by her loving family.

Born in Korea, Sun graduated from Ewha University with a Bachelors degree in Music. In 1970, she immigrated to the U.S. with her husband and children.

Her youthful appearance was only matched by her boundless energy. Sun worked tirelessly for the family business for decades and was a driving force behind the daily operations. Over the years, she also volunteered as a choir director for various local Korean American churches.

Diagnosed with bladder cancer in 2010, she fearlessly battled the disease overcoming many obstacles throughout the years. Very few people knew her struggles. She very rarely complained.

From the beginning until her last breath, she selflessly devoted herself to her family. Sun's greatest love was her family. The love she had for her family was beyond measure. Sun's undying love for her family and friends, her kind gentle spirit, and her selfless nature will be remembered forever. She will be deeply missed.

Sun is survived by her husband Soon of 56 years, son Rock, daughter Jeannie, and several sisters and brothers. Due to COVID-19, a small funeral service was privately held on Thursday, May 14 at Woodlawn Funeral Home followed by her burial at Highland Memorial Park.
