Steven B. Kellogg, 80, passed away at HopeHealth Hulitar Hospice on October 15, 2024. He was the loving spouse of Carol A. (LaPorte) Kellogg for 57 years.
Steve was born to the late Barstow G. Kellogg and Mary E. Kellogg in Providence, RI.
He is survived by his daughter Lee A. Morel and her husband Hector, grandson Brandyn Baranik, currently serving our country in the USAF, his wife Celeste, and step daughter Reagan. He is also survived by step grandchildren Molly and Jack Morel.
Steve was a lover of all dogs and cats. Their presence always brought a smile to his face especially Miniature Schnauzers Schnitzel, Odie and Buddy who welcomed him home every day throughout their lives. At this time Brat the cat is a constant source of companionship and comfort. Steve is also “Grandpa” to dogs Koda, Griffin, Murphy and the cat Moosh. Whenever our family is coming to visit, he will always ask “Are the dogs coming?” They love visiting him, and he loves watching them run and play with Frisbees and balls in the yard.
Steve was also an avid classic car enthusiast, especially Chevrolet Nova’s. He loved attending and participating in car shows near and far, and knew the make and model of every classic car he saw on the highway.
Visitation will be held at the "WOODLAWN" Funeral Home, 600 Pontiac Ave., Cranston, Sunday afternoon, October 20, from 2:00 p.m. until 5p.m. Funeral services will be held at the "WOODLAWN" Funeral Home on Monday, October 21, at 12 Noon. Military honors and burial will follow in the Rhode Island Veterans Cemetery, 301 South County Trail, Exeter.
In lieu of flowers, contributions will be greatly appreciated to HopeHealth Hulitar Hospice for their loving care during Steve’s final days and/or Vintage Pet Rescue (vintagepetrescue.org) a RI based pet rescue who protects and advocates for senior dogs.
