Stephen Giblin, Sr. Obituary

Stephen T. Giblin, Sr, 74, passed away peacefully at home surrounded by his loving family Saturday April 12, 2025. Born in Providence, he was the son of the late John and Josephine (Dinosky) Giblin. He was the husband of Nina (Duffy) Giblin and former husband of the late Barbara Ann Giblin.

Besides his wife Nina, he is survived by his children; daughter Shae Pennacchia and husband Albert Pennacchia, Jr., son Stephen T. Giblin, Jr. and wife Kristen and step-son Michael Torti and wife Samantha. He also leaves his cherished grandchildren Evan Pennacchia, Brendan Pennacchia, Mackenzie Giblin, Carter Giblin, Samantha Carbone, Julianna Torti, and Seth Bousquet. 

Stephen worked for Amtrak as a signalman for over 30 years. The beach was Stephen’s favorite place in the world. He was an avid hunter and sports enthusiast. He enjoyed car shows, classic cars, sports cars, and Indy racing. Stephen was a dapper dresser, known for his brightly colored clothing that you couldn’t miss on the dance floor. He loved joking around and making people laugh. A devoted grandfather, he cherished spending time with his grandchildren. He also had a deep love for animals, especially his beloved dog, Bella.

His funeral will be held Wednesday April 16th at 8:45 a.m. from “WOODLAWN” Funeral Home, 600 Pontiac Avenue, Cranston, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. in St. Robert Bellarmine Church, Johnston. VISITATION will be held Tuesday, April 15th from 4-7 p.m. in "WOODLAWN" Funeral Home.
