Sophie (Regopoulos) Pakuris

Sophie (Regopoulos) Pakuris, 86, of South Kingstown, formerly of Cranston, passed away peacefully Saturday, Jan. 11, 2025.  She was the beloved wife of Christo G. Pakuris.

Born March 14, 1938, in Norwich, CT, she was a daughter of the late George and Bessie (Kazes) Regopoulos.

In addition to her husband of 60 years, she leaves her son, Nicholas C. Pakuris, her daughter and son-in-law, Tina and Joseph Horne, and her grandson, Nicholas C. Pakuris, Jr.

She was the sister of the late Peter Regopoulos and Myra Wexler.

Sophie found great joy in spending time with her loved ones.  She worked as a paraprofessional and other support roles in the Cranston Public School District.

Following Sophie’s expressed wishes, her funeral service and burial at Highland Memorial Park will be private.
