Rose M. (Moreid) Asprinio

Rose (Moreid) Asprinio, passed away peacefully at home on December 21, 2022, surrounded by her loving family. She was the wife of the late Alfred W. Asprinio Sr. who predeceased her 30 years ago, almost to the day.  Born in Providence, she was the daughter of the late Jafar and Anna (Joseph) Moreid.

Rose was devoted to her faith and her family. She is survived by her beloved children Deanna Regine (Nick) of Coventry, Alfred W Asprinio Jr. (Andrea) of Cranston and Carl Asprinio (Linda) of Cranston. She was Grandma Rose to her five cherished grandchildren, Nicholas (Christina) and Amanda Devonis, Dominic, Samantha and Madison Asprinio and 2 great-grandsons, Cameron and Tyler Devonis. She also leaves her beloved sister, Marion Moreid who was by her side throughout her last days. Besides her parents and husband, she was predeceased by sisters Lejia “Lee” Martinous, Norma Moreid, Jeanette Mycroft and her brother Joseph Moreid.

Rose was a graduate of Central High School where she learned the art of “dress making” (tailoring) which she toyed with throughout her life. After her children had reached school age she worked at Metropolitan Life, retiring in 1993. She enjoyed bowling, trips to the beach, vacationing, and casinos. Her true joy, however, was her family. Prior to COVID 19, she hosted “Family Dinner” every Thursday night. 

We were blessed to have her in our lives as an example of love, family and faith to her children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren. Her legacy will live on in all of us.  

Relatives and friends are invited to attend her Mass of Christian Burial Tuesday, December 27, 2022 at 10:00 AM in St. Mark Church, Cranston. Calling hours are respectfully omitted.
