Robert “Bobby” J. Davis Sr, 66, of Cranston passed away on Wednesday, November 1st. Born in Warwick, he was the son of the late Arthur & Rita (Allard) Davis.
He was the beloved husband of Sharon (Morrone) Davis for 42 years. Besides his wife, he is survived by his children Robert Davis Jr, Tiffany Davis & her fiancé Michael Sheehan. He is survived by his mother-in-law Marion Morrone, sister in law Karen (Morrone) Riley, niece Crystal Riley-Voigt, her husband Paul Voigt, and their two daughters Havyn & Isla, who always referred to him as “silly Bobby”. He is also survived by his two brothers Dee & Alan Davis, along with his two nephews Lynn and PJ Davis and niece Taylor Davis. He leaves behind many cousins. He is predeceased by his siblings, Linda (Davis) Anthony , Mary (Davis) Martinelli, Paul and Jeanette Davis. He also leaves behind his best friend Diesel, a beautiful Australian Shepherd, whom he cherished for 10 years.
He was a proud, hardworking man who loved his job driving tractor trailer trucks all around New England. After his career, working on his corvette became his daily hobby. Dunkin’ Donuts, Harley Davidson motorcycles, and enjoying a chocolate martini on holidays were a few of his favorite things.
If you knew Bobby, you knew he never took life too seriously. To him, rules were made to be broken. He will be sorely missed by all who love him.
Rest in the sweetest paradise, crabman. We’ll take it from here.
Following Bobby’s expressed wishes his funeral and burial will be private.
Memorial donations are greatly appreciated to the Westerly Animal Shelter, 33 Larry Hirsch Ln, Westerly, RI 02891, the shelter from where his “grandpup” Maisie was rescued.
