Robert Sevigny Obituary

SEVIGNY, ROBERT N., 83, of Warwick passed away July 1, 2019 at Kent Hospital. He was the beloved husband  for 59 years of Carolyn F. (Tiscione) Sevigny.  Born in Providence, he was a son of the late Alva and Lillian (Mineau) Sevigny.
Robert was US Army Korean War Veteran. He was a toolmaker and a commercial striped bass fisherman who was known as the bass whisperer.
Besides his wife, he is survived by three sons; Robert N. Sevigny, Jr and wife Nancy, Thomas A. Sevigny and wife Shearon, David C. Sevigny and Kristin. He also leaves seven grandchildren; Robert III, Kaitlyn, Amber, Thomas Jr., Anthony, Jack and Megan and five great-grandchildren. He was the brother of Lorraine Mullaney, Roland Sevigny, Raymond Sevigny and the late Richard Sevigny.
Robert was devoted to his family, enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren and great-grandchildren, He was a livelong sports enthusiast, enjoyed ice fishing with his sons and was a fan of all local teams. He also enjoyed music and live entertainment as well as singing Karaoke.
His funeral will be held Saturday at 8:45 a.m. from “WOODLAWN” Funeral Home 600 Pontiac Avenue Cranston followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. in St. Kevin Church, Sandy Lane Warwick.  Burial will follow in St. Ann Cemetery.
