Robert “Scooter” Rossi passed away peacefully on Monday, June 30 at 75 years old. He was the husband of Anne Marie (Almeida) Rossi, and the son of the late Lorenzo and Anna (Cirella) Rossi.
Robert was a proud Army veteran serving during the Vietnam War.
Besides his wife, Scooter is survived by his son Robert Jr. and his daughter-in-law Katrina; his brother Tony and his wife Dodie, his niece Lori Rossi, her husband Rick, and his great-nephew Dimitri Benekos Jr. Scooter was the proud Godfather to Sara and Ryan Fiddes and Jake Gonsalves.
For 40 years, Scooter took great pride in being the Plant Record Manager at D’Ambra Construction. He was meticulous in his work, keeping diligent records on a daily basis. Throughout his time there, he made many treasured lifelong friendships.
His funeral will be held Monday, July 7, at 9:45am from the “WOODLAWN” Funeral Home, 600 Pontiac Ave., Cranston, with a Mass of Christian Burial at 11am in Sts. John and Paul Church, Coventry. Military honors and burial will follow at the RI Veterans Cemetery. Visitation will be held Sunday, July 6, from 4pm until 7pm in the “WOODLAWN” Funeral Home. Relatives and friends are invited to attend.
