Robert B. Brazil, 78, of Warren Ave., Cranston, passed away unexpectedly at home, Monday, January 30, 2023. Born Nov. 10, 1944, in Providence, he was a son of the late Gilbert and Anna (Larkowich) Brazil.
His love of art led him into a career of design, world travel and friendships. After many years he retired from his position of management at the Warwick Mall.
Outside his career he was actively involved at the Immaculate Conception Church, youth sports organizations and connecting with people and making them laugh. He was very passionate about golf, dogs and travelling the road less taken.
He leaves his son Robert A. Brazil and along with his wife Melissa Bridges; his daughter Dawn Deshaies; four grandchildren, Marcie, Kevin Jr., Christopher, and Desirae; and 7 great grandchildren, Chace, Sophia, James, Ava, Karter, Julian and a new great grandchild expected in April. He also leaves several nieces and nephews and the “boys” who enjoyed each other’s company meeting regularly for breakfast and dinner.
He also was the brother of Richard A. Brazil and of the late David G. Brazil, Sr.
His funeral will begin Monday, Feb. 6, at 8:45am from the “WOODLAWN” Funeral Home, 600 Pontiac Ave., Cranston, with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10am at Immaculate Conception Church, Cranston. Burial will follow at St. Ann Cemetery. Visitation will be held in the funeral home Sunday afternoon, from 2pm until 5pm. Relatives and friends are invited to attend.
