Patricia "Pat" C. (Carreira) Martin

Patricia “Pat” C. Martin, passed away peacefully Sunday, September 15, 2024 at the age of 86 in Grandview Center. Born in Fall River, MA she was the daughter of the late Manuel and Dorothy (Pontes) Carreira. She was the wife of the late Joseph O. Martin, and life long partner of Manuel Mendes and his son, Carlos Mendes.

Patricia worked at Waterview Villa Nursing Home, until her retirement in 1998. She was a sun worshipper, avid reader and enjoyed shopping. Her great sense of humor crowned her the life of the party. Most of all she was a loving mother and grandmother. 

Patricia was the sister of the late Gloria Perry and Philomena Joubert. She is survived by her three children Paula M. De Jesus and husband Wilfred De Jesus Jr., Phillip Martin and wife Rhonda Martin, David Martin and wife Cheryl Martin. Her “babies” Taylor De Jesus, Zachary De Jesus, Gabrielle De Jesus. Grandmother of the late Philip Martin Jr., Samantha Martin, Alexander Martin, Julia Martin. She also leaves behind numerous great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

Patricia’s family would like to thank her “Grandview Family” for their kind, caring support.

Her visitation will be held Thursday from 4-7 p.m. at “WOODLAWN” Funeral Home, 600 Pontiac Avenue Cranston. Assembly for her funeral service will begin at 9 a.m., Friday morning with a Funeral Service at 10 a.m. in the funeral home. Burial will be private.
