Nancy (Bucacci) Giolitti, 93, of Johnston, passed away peacefully Saturday, December 30, 2023, at home surrounded by her loving family. She was a dedicated wife of the late Henry C. Giolitti Sr. They were married for 51 years.
Born in Cranston, the daughter of the late Eduardo and Margherita (Faggioli) Bucacci.
Nancy was a loving mother to Henry C. Giolitti and his wife Donna of Johnston, Susan A. Giolitti of Johnston, Mark A. Giolitti and his wife Terry of Coventry, and Nancie A. Giolitti-Sanita and her husband William of Connecticut, preceded in death by her son James H. Giolitti Sr., and grandson David James Giolitti. She was the grandmother of 15, the great grandmother of 8 and great great grandmother of 1. Nancy was the sister of the late Clara, Mary, Eva, Anna, Paul, Salvatore, Antonio, John, Romano, Louis, Tommy, Frank, and sister-in-law to Julia Carreiro of Cranston, and an aunt to many nieces and nephews.
Nancy loved spending time planting flowers, cooking, baking, traveling with her husband and being with her family and friends.
She was a catechist teacher for St. Rocco’s Church for more than 25 years, Nancy was a Parishioner of St. Rocco’s Church for 65 years.
Her funeral will be held Friday, Jan. 5 at 9:30 AM from “WOODLAWN” Funeral Home, 600 Pontiac Ave., Cranston, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 11 AM in St. Rocco’s Church, Johnston. Burial will follow in St. Ann Cemetery, Cranston. Calling hours 4-8 PM Thursday in the “WOODLAWN” Funeral Home.
