Michael J. Manzi, 67, of Cranston, peacefully passed away after a brief illness at Rhode Island Hospital on August 3, 2022. He was surrounded by his loving family. Michael was the beloved husband of Carol (Fabrizio) Manzi for 46 years. Born in Providence, he was the son of Carolyn (Caparco) Manzi and the late Frank P. Manzi, Jr. He was an employee of Unit Tool Co. for 47 years until his retirement in 2021.
Mike, as he was referred to by family and friends, was a quiet, private, gentle soul who was loved by everyone. He was passionate about music, his truck, and his family, especially his grandchildren. Mike leaves behind his two beloved children, Michael Manzi, Jr. and his wife Jennifer (Hopkins) Manzi of Cranston, Alissa (Manzi) Maki, and her husband Allan Maki of Milford, MA. He also leaves behind four grandchildren, Joseph & Ava Manzi, and Cameron & Amelia Maki. Mike was the brother to Steven Manzi and his wife Joanne (Bey) Manzi and to Marianne Manzi and her husband Joseph Pittle. He was the uncle to several nieces and nephews who adored their Uncle Mike.
Relatives and friends are invited to his funeral service Saturday, Aug. 6, at 10am in the “WOODLAWN” Funeral Home, 600 Pontiac Ave., Cranston. Burial will follow at St. Ann Cemetery. Calling hours will be Saturday morning from 8am until 10am in the funeral home.
