Maureen G. (Ferreira) Mako

Maureen Gloria (Ferreira) Mako, 76, of West Warwick, passed away peacefully Sunday, April 27, 2025 at Kent Hospital. She was the beloved wife of the late Joseph A. Mako, Jr.

Born in Providence, she was a daughter of the late Carlos and Belmeda (Ponte) Ferreira.

She dedicated most of her life to a career in Finance, finding joy in cooking and cherishing time with her family during her free moments. She had a deep love for the beach and delighted in trips to the casino.

She leaves her children, Heather Muccio, Anthony Mako and Joseph A. Mako, III. She was the sister of Gregory Ferreira, Bruce Ferreira, Errol Martin, June Goyette, Nancy Ruggiano, Denise Marcello, Donna Goyette, Beverly Colombo, the late Carlo Ferreira, the late Kenny Ferreira, the late Nelson Ferreira and the late Cher Richards.

Her funeral will be held at 9:30am Friday, May 2, from the “WOODLAWN” Funeral Home, 600 Pontiac Ave., Cranston, with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:30am in St. Mark’s Church, Cranston. Burial will follow at the RI Veterans Cemetery. VISITATION is Thursday, May 1, from 4:00 pm - 7:00 pm in the "WOODLAWN" Funeral Home. Relatives and friends are invited to attend.
