Mary P. Tasca, (Reddington) of West Warwick, Rhode Island passed away peacefully surrounded by her children on October 18, 2025 at the age of 97. Loving wife of the late Earl E. Tasca for 67 years.
Born in Providence, RI she was the daughter of James and Mary Reddington (Kerrigan).
Survived by five loving children: Patricia Marshall (John), Mary Ann (William), Barry (Lisa), Kathleen, and Ann Marie Torres (George). Was preceded in death by her sons, Earl Jr. (Gail Topakian) and James, daughter-in-law Lisa, and son-in-law Wayne Nelson. She was a loving Grandma to nine grandchildren, Desiree, Christopher (Kathleen), Chloe, Katie (Ian), Emily (Alex), Elizabeth (Christopher), Brandon (Jenna), Erin (Paul), and Marissa; seven great-grandchildren, Makenna, Morgan, Teddy, Grace, Dante, Olive, Mary and also many nieces and nephews. She is survived by her sister Ann Marshall. She was predeceased by her brothers James and Richard Reddington.
Mary retired from New England Telephone and was a distinguished member of the Telephone Pioneers of America. Mary loved her Irish heritage, her fashion, and not least of all, her desserts. But, her proudest accomplishment is the legacy she has left with many generations. Her family is deeply grateful to the wonderful caregivers who cared for her with love and compassion.
Her funeral will be held at 8:30 AM Thursday, October 23 from the "WOODLAWN" Funeral Home, 600 Pontiac Ave., Cranston, with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 AM at St. Veronica’s Chapel, 1035 Boston Neck Road, Narragansett. Burial will follow in St. Ann Cemetery, Cranston, RI. Calling hours Wednesday, October 22, from 4:00 - 7:00 PM.
