Mary J. (DeLuca) Ranallo, a beloved mother, grandmother, and cherished member of her community, passed away peacefully on Saturday, June 29, at the age of 96. Born to Antonio and Carmella (Colacone) DeLuca on October 21, 1927.
Mary was a dedicated and loving mother to her four children, Robert L. (Correen) Ranallo. Jr., Noelle (the late David) Izzo, Anthony (Jean) Ranallo, and Mia (the late Michael) Kuras. She was the devoted wife of the late Robert L. Ranallo, Sr. who passed away 22 years ago.
Mary is also survived by her brother Gerald DeLuca, and she was preceded in death by her siblings Anthony DeLuca, Frank DeLuca and Phyllis Coppolino. She was a proud grandmother to David, Lia, Jacob, and Christian, and a doting great-grandmother to David III.
Her family was the center of her world, and she took immense pride in their accomplishments and joy in their presence.
For over 30 years, Mary served as the manager of DeLuca Photo Studio, where she was known for her exceptional leadership and dedication. Her colleagues and clients appreciated her warm personality and professional expertise.
Mary had a passion for reading books and solving crosswords, activities that kept her mind sharp and brought her much joy. She was also an excellent cook, known for preparing delicious Italian meals that brought her family together. Her home was always filled with the delightful aroma of her culinary creations and the beauty of her well-tended flower gardens.
Relatives and friends are invited to a visitation Friday, July 5, from 9am until 10am in the “WOODLAWN” Funeral Home, 600 Pontiac Ave., Cranston, with a Mass of Christian Burial at 11am in St. Rocco’s Church, Atwood Ave., Johnston. Burial will follow at St. Ann Cemetery
