Mary C. Pitre 100, of Cranston passed away May 14, 2023. She was the wife of the late Raymond P. Pitre.
Born in Providence, she was a daughter of Pasquale and Angelina (Mazzucco - Tucciarone) Carcone.
One of eight siblings, she is survived by her sister, Olga Stickel of Cranston, and many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by brothers Enrico, Eugene, Mario, Emilio, and Silvio Carcone and a baby sister Maria Carcone.
She attended Providence schools and graduated Mt. Pleasant High School1940, and had a successful Career with New England Telephone retiring in 1980.
Her interests included vacationing, travel to Italy, her house, cooking Holiday meals, and her pets.
Family was the focus of her life and she was often referred to as "Auntie Mary" or "Auntie Mae Mae". Her love, affection, generosity, and presence was, and always will be felt by her many nieces, nephews and their growing families.

Her funeral will begin at 9:15am Saturday, May 20, from the “WOODLAWN” Funeral Home, 600 Pontiac Ave., Cranston, with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10am in St. Rocco’s Church, Atwood Ave., Johnson. Burial will follow at St. Ann Cemetery. Visitation will take place Saturday morning from 8:15am until 9:15am in the funeral home.
