Mary Caito Obituary

Mary E. Caito, 100, died on December 8, at South County Hospital after a brief illness.

Born in Providence, she was the daughter of the late John B. Caito and Margaret (D’Amore) Caito.

Mary grew up in Providence and moved to Cranston as a young adult. She then moved to West Warwick and resided there for 50 years. She lived at the Seasons in East Greenwich for the last two years of her life, thoroughly enjoying her life there.

Mary was employed by the former Welch Manufacturing in Providence, which eventually became Norton Manufacturing. She served in a supervisory position for many years.

Mary was predeceased by her sister Agnes B. Caito, with whom she lived all her life. She was also predeceased by five other siblings, Frank Caito, Rose Lisi, Margaret Fabrizio, Salvatore Caito, and Joseph Caito.

She is survived by many nieces and nephews; Anthony Lisi of RI, Barbara Alksninis of MA, Elaine DeVoss of VA, Joyce MacLean of RI, Steven Fabrizio of RI, Edward Fabrizio of FL, Carol Manzi of RI, John Caito of OR, Edward Caito of NH, Mary Taylor of MA, Raymond Caito of FL, and Debra Cinquegrana of FL. She was also the aunt of the late Robert Caito, Alan Caito, and Kennerth Caito.

Mary will be remembered for her sharp wit and sense of style. Even as a centenarian, she loved to dress beautifully every day, always looking so put together, she also was like a second mother to her nieces and nephews.

Many thanks to the staff at the Seasons in East Greenwich for making the last two years of her life so enjoyable and carefree.
