Mark Anthony Giolitti, 62, passed away at home Thursday, May 16, 2024. He was the devoted husband of Therese P. (Niquette) Giolitti for 30 years. Born in Providence, the son of the late Henry C. Giolitti, Sr. and Nancy B. (Bucacci) Giolitti.
Mark was a devoted, caring, giving, sentimental, story telling, advice giving, big hearted, tradition keeping, family dedicated husband, father, brother, son, uncle, great-uncle, Godfather, cousin and friend.
Besides his wife Therese, he is survived by his children; Adam V. Giolitti and Sara E. Giolitti, his brother Henry Giolitti and wife Donna, his sisters Susan Giolitti, Nancie (Giolitti) Sanita and husband Billy and sister-in-law Lori Facer. He was the brother of the late James Giolitti. He leaves nieces, nephews and many cousins. He was the 2nd Papa to many of his children’s friends.
He was a devoted Catholic member of Our Lady of Good Counsel Parish Family, Knights of Columbus 3rd and 4th Degree. Lifetime member of South County Rod and Gun Club, member of Coventry West Greenwich Lions Club, former member of Coventry Outdoorsmen’s Club and Sons of Italy. He enjoyed cooking, gardening, travel, history- especially family history, pets, Santas, holiday decorating and celebrations. Most of all loved being around a table with family and friends.
His funeral will be held Thursday at 8:30 a.m. from “WOODLAWN” Funeral Home, 600 Pontiac Avenue, Cranston followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. in Our Lady of Good Counsel Church, West Warwick. Burial will follow in St. Joseph Cemetery, West Greenwich. VISITATION Wednesday 4-8 p.m. at “WOODLAWN” Funeral Home.
