Mark Delmonico Obituary

Mark L. Delmonico, 75, passed away peacefully Friday, September 15, 2023. Born in Providence, he was a son of the late Frank and Henrietta (Nies) Delmonico.

Mark served in the Air Force at age 18 during the Vietnam War where he spent two years in Thailand. After his discharge, Mark went to school and was self-employed as an Independent Insurance Agent. 

Mark loved tennis and swimming, following the Red Sox and Patriots sports teams. His pasta meat sauce, lasagna, chicken cutlets, and from-scratch pizza are legendary.

Gardening was his passion, including maintaining his 35 year old barrel cactus that will forever remain in the family. Mark lived for his children and grandson.

He is survived by Judith (Barone) Delmonico and children Jessica Delmonico, Sara Delmonico, Andrew Delmonico and grandson Max Rubino. He also leaves one brother, Frank E. Delmonico and one sister, Kathleen McNamara.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend his Visitation on Wednesday, September 20, from 11 a.m. - 12 noon  followed by a Prayer Service at 12 noon at the “WOODLAWN" Funeral Home, 600 Pontiac Avenue, Cranston.
