Marie Norma (Tronni) Faraone

Marie Norma Faraone, 87, of Cranston, passed away May 29, 2022, at home surrounded by her family. She was the beloved wife of Gaetano “Sonny” Faraone for 66 years.

Born in Providence she was a daughter of the late Ferdinando and Benedetta (Franco) Tronni.

Marie was a graduate of Mount Pleasant High School Class of 1954. She was a Medical Secretary at the RI Tumor Clinic. After leaving the clinic she was the Office Manager and Secretary for Dr. Francis Nevitt and Dr. Seraphin. She was also a member of the Apostleship of Prayer at St. Bartholomew Church.

Besides her husband, Marie is survived by her two sons Philip Faraone and wife Deborah, Louis Faraone and wife Judith, her daughter Dr. Norma Ann Fararone – Ledgard Ph.D. and husband Dr. Kenneth Ledgard DDS. Marie is also survived by her grandchildren, Gaetano William Faraone and his fiancé Angelica Hicks, Norma Ann Frances Goyette, and her husband Nicholas and her great-grandchild Madeline Marie Goyette. She also leaves behind her sister Elizabeth Martini. Marie was predeceased by her siblings, Albert Tronni, Renato Tronni, Eugene Tronni, Marie Pia Menna, and Virginia Menna.

Her funeral will be held on Wednesday, June 1 at 8:45 AM from “Woodlawn” Funeral Home, 600 Pontiac Avenue, Cranston. Followed by a Concelebrated Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 AM in The Cathedral of SS Peter & Paul, Providence. Burial will follow in St. Ann Cemetery, Cranston.
