Louis Scialla Obituary

 

Louis Scialla, 95, passed away peacefully at Orchard View Manor Saturday, December 19, 2020. He was the husband of the late Gilda (Catanzaro) Scialla.  Born in Providence, he was a son of the late Luigi and Virginia (Marcello) Scialla.  

Louis was a very proud WWII United States Navy Veteran serving aboard the USS Boston,  Seaman First Class. He received the WWII Victory Medal, American Theatre Ribbon, Asiatic Pacific Theatre Ribbon (9 stars), and Philippine Liberation Ribbon (8 bronze stars). He worked in sales in the electronic, insurance and travel industries.

He is survived by three children; Stephen Scialla and his wife Maria , Kenneth Scialla and his wife Clara and Carol Cote and her husband Michael Cote. Devoted grandfather of Kristi Scialla, Mark Scialla, Stacey Hunter, Erin Perry, Scott Cote, Nicole Cote and great-grandchildren Dylan and Gavin. He was the brother of Vivian Iadevia and the late Gilbert Scialla. Lou lived life to the fullest, enjoying  traveling and wintering in Florida.  He loved a good time and was always ready to deliver with his quick wit.
