Lena (Martellini) Sampietro

Lena Sampietro, 93,  of Cranston passed away Thursday March 25, 2021 at Greenville Skilled Care and Rehabilitation. Born in Montreal, Canada, she was a daughter of the late Ernest and Madeine (Romanelli) Martellini. She was the wife of the late Joseph Sampietro.

Mrs. Sampietro was a Teacher’s Aid for the City of Cranston for 20 years, before retiring. She was an avid tennis player until age 83, bowler until age 87 and won many championships. She enjoyed playing cards with her late husband and friends and also took pleasure in playing bridge.

She is survived by her daughter, Joyce M. Sampietro-Holscher and husband John of Hope, RI. Lena was the sister of Lucy Reardon and the late Raymond Martellini, Lillian Agajanian, Norma Conte and Gloria Martellini. Her funeral and burial in St. Ann Cemetery are private.
