Kathleen ”Kathy” E. (DeAngelis) Flori, 79, of Palm City, FL and Narragansett, RI, passed away on February 7, 2026. She was the beloved wife of George J. Flori. They had been high school sweethearts and married for 58 years. Born in Providence, she was the daughter of the late Fred and Emily (Ferro) DeAngelis. Kathleen worked at the Outlet Company and in banking for many years, before volunteering at Fatima Hospital.
Kathleen cherished the moments spent with her family, which included her loving children, David Flori and his wife Brenda, and Kimberly Gibeau and her husband Peter. She was a devoted grandmother to Michael and Nicholas Flori, Matthew and Nathan Gibeau. She was the sister of Robert DeAngelis and wife Cynthia.
Above all, Kathleen cherished time spent with her family and friends, whether it was at the beach, boating, traveling, shopping, or playing Mahjong. Known for her love of cooking and baking, Kathleen took great joy in hosting dinners, creating memories for all that attended. Her home was a haven of kindness, where laughter and love were shared. Her nurturing presence will be profoundly missed by her family, friends, and all who had the privilege of knowing her. Kathleen’s character can be best described as loving, kind, and gentle. These attributes were the foundation upon which she built her life and the legacy she leaves behind. Her unwavering support and unconditional love have left an indelible mark on the hearts of her family and friends. As we bid farewell to Kathleen, we celebrate a life beautifully lived and a heart that is generously loved. Her spirit will forever be cherished and remembered by her loving family and the many lives she touched.
Relatives and friends are invited to a visitation, Sunday, Feb. 15, from 2pm until 5pm, in the "WOODLAWN" Funeral Home, 600 Pontiac Ave., Cranston. Her funeral will begin at 10am Monday, Feb. 16, from the "WOODLAWN" Funeral Home, with a Mass of Christian Burial at 11am in St. Mark's Church, 9 Garden Court, Cranston.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations are greatly appreciated to either HopeHealth Hospice and Palliative Care or to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
