Katherine B. (O'Brien) Alix

Katherine (O’Brien) Alix, 69, of Cranston, passed away August 2, 2023 at HopeHospice Hulitar Inpatient Center. Born Aug. 29, 1953, in Providence, she was a daughter of the late Thomas O'Brien and Bernadette (Burrows) Giviens.

She loved connecting with her Tollman Class of ’72 classmates and running her Incredible. page on Facebook.

She leaves her son, Joseph Alix and his wife, Rowena; her daughter, Dawn Depot; and her siblings, Elizabeth O’Brien of California, Thomas O’Brien of Florida, Carleen Marques of Coventry, Margaret (Ronald) Genereaux of Smithfield, James (Michelle) Riley of New Jersey and Kevin (Lisa) Riley of Seekonk, MA; nine grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren.

She was the companion of the late Terrence Vallely, and also leaves many nieces, nephews and the love of her life, her dog Terry.

Visitation will take place Monday, Aug. 7, from 9am until 10am in the “WOODLAWN” Funeral Home, 600 Pontiac Ave., Cranston. A Mass of Christian Burial will follow Monday at 11am in St. Mary’s Church, Cranston, with burial at St. Ann Cemetery.
