Julio C. Guzman, 75, of Providence, passed away peacefully on November 15, 2022, in the Jane Brown Building at Rhode Island Hospital surrounded by loved ones. He was the beloved husband of the late Margarita M. (Taveras) Guzman. Born in the Dominican Republic a son of the late Glumecinda Guzman. Mr.Guzman was a self-employed construction worker.
He was the beloved father of Jenny Polanco, Jeffrey Guzman, Julio C. Franco, Julio A. Franco, Nemencio Franco, and the late Marisol Franco. Brother of Antonio Guzman, Jose Ramon Guzman, Porfirio Guzman, Mariano Guzman, Ana Maria Aristi, Ana Victoria Caroll, Alida Lavandier, and Tara Bencosme Loving grandfather of many grandchildren.
His funeral will be held on Saturday, November 26, 2022, at 8:45 AM from ‘’WOODLAWN’’ Funeral Home, 600 Pontiac Ave., Cranston, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 AM in St. Anthony Mission Church, 549 Plainfield St., Providence. Burial will follow in Oakland Cemetery, Cranston. VISITATION Friday, November 25, 2022, from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM.
