James J. Velleco

James “Jim” J. Velleco, 96, of Warwick, passed away March 10, 2025, at Summit Commons. He was the beloved husband of the late Marion (Anthony) Velleco.

Born in Providence, he was a son of the late Raphael and Josephine (Giordano) Velleco.

James was a US Army Veteran; he was stationed in California and Hawaii. He was a manager of a manufacturing warehouse for several years. James enjoyed watching sports and loved food, especially seafood. Most of all he enjoyed spending time with his family.

He was predeceased by his wife and his son James “Jimmy-John” Velleco. James was the brother of Ralph Velleco and the late Josephine Clarke.

Visitation will be Wednesday, March 12, 2025, from 9:00 -10:00 am at the “WOODLAWN” Funeral Home, 600 Pontiac Avenue, Cranston, with a Funeral Home Service to take place at 10:00 am. Relatives and friends are invited to attend. Burial will be private.
