James F. Tasca, 67, of Coventry, passed away peacefully at his home, surrounded by loved ones, on Thursday, May 1, 2025. He was the beloved husband of the late Lisa J. (Fox) Tasca.
Born in Providence, he was a son of Mary P. (Reddington) Tasca of West Warwick, and the late Earl E. Tasca, Sr.
Jim worked at the Providence Journal his entire career. He enjoyed spending time working in the yard, attending concerts, watching sports and relaxing on the beach.
In addition to his mother, he leaves his daughters, Chloe Tasca (Tom Winston) of Warwick and Emily Martinez (Alex) of Orlando, FL; and his grandson, Dante Martinez. He is also survived by five siblings, Patricia (John) Marshall, Mary Ann (William Soares) Tasca, Barry (Lisa) Tasca, Kathleen (the late Wayne Nelson) Tasca, and Ann Marie (George) Torres. He was predeceased by his brother Earl E. Tasca, Jr. (Gail Topakian). He also leaves behind many nieces and nephews.
Relatives and friends are invited to his visitation, Thursday, May 8, from 5pm until 8pm, at the “WOODLAWN” Funeral Home, 600 Pontiac Ave., Cranston. Burial will be private.
