Hoda Keirouz, 81, of Warwick, RI passed away peacefully in the early hours of September 15,
2022 surrounded by her family. She was the beloved wife of Keirouz Keirouz for 60 years.
Born January 1, 1941, in Lebanon, she was a daughter of the late Habib and Silane Kayrouz.
Hoda had a brief career as an elementary school teacher, but her greatest work was that of a full-
time mother, raising her five children.
Hoda was the anchor of the family and devoted her life to her husband, children and
grandchildren. She displayed her courage and love with her unselfish decision to immigrate to
the United States in the mid-1980s to escape a war-torn country that she loved in order to
provide a safer and better future for her children. She taught her children that home is where your
family is. She was always optimistic and was a strong believer in the goodness of people.
Hoda was passionate about feeding her family. She was a gifted cook who was only happy if
every person in her home was on their third serving of her delicious food. She knew each of her
children’s and grandchildren’s favorite dishes and she would have them ready upon their arrival.
Her grandchildren joked that their Teta operated a 24/7 ‘all you can eat’ buffet.
Hoda was a woman of strong faith who prayed daily. It would be wrong to say that Hoda lost her
battle to cancer because she never stopped fighting to stay with us.
In addition to her husband, she is survived by her five children, Lolita Sidaoui and husband
Fouad of Orlando, FL, Tony Keirouz and his wife Susan of Stow, MA, Mireille Sayaf and her
husband Ghassan of Cranston, RI, Dolly Baaklini and her husband Michel of Portsmouth, RI,
and Joseph Keirouz and his wife Ximena of San Francisco, CA; her grandchildren, Alexander
and Yvonne Sidaoui, John and Noah Keirouz, Stephanie and Gabrielle Sayaf, Justin, Steven (and
his wife Katelyn) and Anthony Maccarone, and Nicholas Keirouz; her step-grandchildren
Alexander, Natasha and Andrew Baaklini; her great-grandchildren Layla, Justice and Alayna
Maccarone; her sisters Renee and Siham Kayrouz of Providence, RI and Souad Sukkar and her
husband Majeed of Warwick, RI as well as many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. She was
pre-deceased by her beloved brother Jack Kayrouz of Warwick, RI.
Relatives and friends are invited to her visitation Tuesday, September 20, 2022 from 8:30am
until 10am in the “WOODLAWN” Funeral Home, 600 Pontiac Ave., Cranston, followed by the
