Gloria L. (DeSimone) Campanile

Gloria (DeSimone) Campanile, 96, formerly of Cranston, passed away peacefully Friday, February 17, 2023 at Kent Hospital. She was the wife of the late Joseph Campanile.

Born Aug. 28, 1926, in Providence, she was a daughter of the late Joseph and Mary (Melchiori) DeSimone.

She leaves her devoted daughter and son-in-law, with whom she made her home, Ann Marie and Gary Richardson of Warwick; her grandson, William Haynie, Jr.; and her “babies” Lakota and Nizhoni.

She was preceded in death by her four sisters, Rose Aurelio, Anna D’Arezzo, Mary Calise, and Josephine Fusco.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Mass of Christian Burial, Thursday, Feb. 23, at 10am in St. Bartholomew Church, Laurel Hill Ave., Providence. Burial will follow at St. Ann Cemetery. Following Gloria’s expressed wishes there will be no calling hours.
