Giuseppina “Josephine” Cricco, 75, of Providence, passed away unexpectedly, Wednesday, December 15, 2021 at RI Hospital surrounded by her loving family. Born July 30, 1946, in Introdacqua, L’aquila, Italy, she was a daughter of the late Giuseppe and Maria Luigia “Gina” (Giuliani) Iudiciani.
As a young girl, she spent several years with her family in Caracas, Venezuela. She was a seamstress for many years. She enjoyed being with her family, especially the loves of her life, her “wonderful” grandchildren, and friends. She loved cooking, baking, crocheting, and gardening. Everyone loved her cooking, and everyone who met her would enjoy talking with her.
She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Barbara and Giovanni DeCubellis of Lincoln; her three grandchildren, Joseph, Anthony and Isabella; and her brother, Louis Iudiciani of Cumberland. She was also the sister of the late Miranda Buonaugurio.
Her funeral will be held on Tuesday, December 21, at 9:45AM from “WOODLAWN” Funeral Home, 600 Pontiac Avenue, Cranston, with a Mass of Christian Burial at 11AM in Holy Ghost Church, Atwells Ave., Providence. Burial will follow in St. Ann Cemetery. VISITATION Tuesday morning, 8AM until 9:45AM in the funeral home.
