Georgia (Foundas) Scapinakis

Georgia (Foundas) Scapinakis, 99, of Warwick, passed away Thursday, May 8, 2025. She was the beloved wife of the late Emanuel “Manny” Scapinakis.

Born in Pavlia, Greece, she was a daughter of the late Emilia (Asimakis) and Demetrius Foundas.

Georgia grew up in Megalopolis, Greece, with her seven siblings, the late Constantine Foundas, the late Theodore Foundas, the late Nicoletta Kandileraks, the late Helen Salonikios, the late Vivian Haralambidis, Titsa Mentavlos, and Eftixia Kondargiris.

Georgia and her husband owned the Manny’s Sandwich Shop in the Washington Park area of Providence.

She enjoyed cooking for her friends and family. She was a member of the Philoptochos Society, and attended the Annunciation Greek Orthodox Church.

She leaves behind her beloved children Constantine and Mary Scapinakis and her sisters Titsa Mentavlos and Eftixia Kondargiris.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Funeral Service at the Annunciation Greek Orthodox Church, Tuesday, May 13, 2025, at 10:00 AM, with burial to follow in North Burial Ground, Providence.
