George Bruno Obituary

George J. Bruno, 80, of Cranston and Englewood Florida, passed away at Philip Hulitar Inpatient Center, Providence, November 13, 2021.

Born in Providence, son of the late Paul and Carmella (Vittorioso) Bruno. Mr. Bruno was a foreman/carpenter for Aetna Bridge for many years before retiring and a lifetime member of the RI Carpenters Union. George’s passion which he enjoyed with his friends was classic cars and going to car shows all over New England and Florida. His hobbies consisted of hand painting different animals and sculptures. He took great pride in his angel figurines. He also enjoyed collecting bird and duck trinkets.

George served 4 years in the US Army Reserves.

He was the beloved father of Paul Bruno and Pamela Bruno. Loving companion of Lois Boudreau for 17 years. Brother of Paula and Camie Bruno and the late Richard Bruno. Former husband of Joyce Stanczyk.

His funeral service will be held Thursday at 11:00 AM in “WOODLAWN” Funeral Home, 600 Pontiac Avenue, Cranston. Burial will follow in St. Ann Cemetery. Visitation Thursday morning from 9 – 11 AM in the Funeral Home.
