Frank DiChiara Obituary

Frank N. DiChiara, 73, of Cranston, passed away peacefully at home surrounded by his family on Wednesday morning, September 6, 2023. He was the beloved husband of Deborah (Read) DiChiara.

Born July 23, 1950, in Providence, he was a son of the late Albert and Josephine (Pietrunti) DiChiara.

Frank was a passionate family man. A dedicated husband, father, and grandfather, he was both caregiver and teacher to all. He enjoyed sports and reading and was self taught on the guitar and loved playing for his grandchildren. He loved traveling with his wife and family gatherings. He leaves behind a legacy of love in all the lives he touched. 

In addition to his wife, he leaves his children, Matthew DiChiara, Marisa DiChiara and Michael (Sarah) DiChiara; his stepdaughter, Jessica (Bonnie) Tate and stepson, Jason Tate; his 8 grandchildren, Jacob Carpenter, Nicolo and Vivian DiChiara, Austin, Zackary and Madison Tate, Makenzie Rego and Gracie-Mae Tate; and his brother Albert (Lucy) DiChiara.

Visitation will take place Sunday afternoon, September 10, from 2:00 PM until 5:00 PM in the “WOODLAWN” Funeral Home, 600 Pontiac Ave., Cranston. A funeral service will take place Monday morning at 10:00 AM in the “WOODLAWN” Funeral Home. Burial will follow in St. Ann Cemetery, Cranston.
