MELUCCI, FRANK A., 67, of Warwick passed away on February 7, 2021 at home, after a long battle with primary progressive aphasia, surrounded by his loving family.
Born in Providence, he was the son of the late Frank P. and Josephine (Lupino) Melucci. His life’s greatest loves were his family and his faith. Frank leaves his most devoted wife of 23 years, Kathleen (McGuirl), and two sons, Christian and Joseph, who were by his side through his last moments. He was predeceased by twins, John and Angelo. He also leaves two sisters, Mary P. Calise and her companion, August Gulli, and Patricia A. Lurgio and her husband, Anthony, and many nephews, nieces, great nephews, great nieces, in-laws, cousins, friends, and his ever loyal sidekick and protector, Bella, a Havanese.
Frank was a graduate of LaSalle Academy and Bryant College. As a certified public accountant, he was a founding partner of Melucci, Bissonnette, Kumar & Company, Ltd., from which he retired in 2015. He loved to serve his clients and made countless friends among them. Frank was a longtime parishioner of Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church in Providence, and later Saints Rose and Clement Church in Warwick, to which he devoted much of his boundless energy. Frank also gave much of his time and talents to charitable and community organizations. He had a deep, lifelong love of history, but it may have been rivaled by his love of sports, most especially the New York Yankees and New York Giants.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend his Mass of Christian Burial on Thursday, February 11, 2021 at 10:00 a.m. at Immaculate Conception Church in Cranston. Burial will be private. A celebration of Frank’s life will be held at a later date when gathering restrictions are lifted. In lieu of flowers, donations in Frank’s memory may be made to the Tunnel to Towers Foundation.
