Obituary

Frances J. (Egan) Maguire, 92, of Cranston, passed away Thursday, April 6, 2023. She was the beloved wife of the late Peter J. Maguire for over 60 years. Born in County Mayo, Ireland, she was the daughter of Andrew and Kate (Lavin) Egan.

Frances was the Past President and founding member with her husband, of the Irish Ceilidhe Club of Rhode Island located on America Street in Cranston. She loved Irish music and dancing.

Frances is survived by one son, Joseph Maguire, and his wife Helena and four grandchildren, Joseph, Julia, Luke, and Paul. She was predeceased by her siblings, Joseph, Jack, John, Paul Sonny, and Mary.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend her funeral and visitation Tuesday, April 18th from 9-10:30AM in the “WOODLAWN” Funeral Home, 600 Pontiac Avenue, Cranston with a Mass of Christian Burial at 11AM in St. Mark Church, Cranston. Burial will follow in St. Ann Cemetery, Cranston.
