Florence M. (Smigliani) Evans

Florence M. Evans, 90, of Hyde Park, MA, passed away peacefully with her daughters at her side, Tuesday, February 13, 2024. She was the wife of Arthur E. Evans. Wife of late husband Dominic R. Delforno.

Born in Boston, on March 20, 1933, she was the daughter of the late Luco Smigliani and Giacinta (D’Angelo) Smigliani.

Florence will be dearly missed by her daughters Lisa Drago (husband Chris Saunders) and Victoria Palmisano. She was also a loving grandmother to 6 grandchildren, 2 step grandchildren (Ryan, Tayla, Michael, Nicco, Naomi, Mia, Chris, Brooke), 3 great grandchildren (Rece, Grant, Emma) and numerous nieces, nephews, and friends.

Florence was a woman of grace and great beauty, in her actions toward and treatment of others. She was kind and caring to all she knew and met with the most sparkling smile. One of her greatest qualities was her ability to make people laugh and infectious sense of humor. She truly lived life to the fullest through simple pleasures like shopping and chatting with friends and family.

Family, friends, and others whose lives Florence touched are invited to a Memorial Service, Tuesday, February 20, 2024, at 11 am at St. John Episcopal Church, Barrington, RI, to reminisce, grieve, support each other and, of course, just chat.
