Flora (Pisano) Alessandrini, 98, of Johnston, passed away peacefully Thursday morning, March 2, 2023, at HopeHealth Hulitar Hospice Center. She was the wife of the late Amedeo Alessandrini, Jr.
Born December 21, 1924, in Providence, she was a daughter of the late Vincenzo and Anita (Ferrazza) Pisano.
Flora was a woman of strong faith, a devout Catholic and a communicant of St. Rocco’s Church. She cherished her time with her family. Being with her children, grandchildren, and her great grandson brought her great joy, especially during their annual family vacations.
She leaves her beloved children, Anita Pedchenko, Amedeo “Al” Alessandrini, III and his wife Adele, and Lisa Mollicone and her husband David; her 5 grandchildren, Lauren, Ashley, Marissa, Christina, and Mia; and her great-grandson Carmino.
She was the sister of the late Lydia Pisano and mother-in-law of the late Joseph Pedchenko.
Her funeral will begin Tuesday, March 7 at 8:45am from the Woodlawn Funeral Home, 600 Pontiac Avenue, Cranston, with a Mass of Christian Burial, at 10am in St. Rocco Church, Johnston. Burial will follow at St. Ann Cemetery. Visitation will be held Monday, March 6 from 4pm until 7pm in the funeral home. Relatives and friends are invited to attend.
