Evelyn A. (Bonitati) Russo

Evelyn (Bonitati) Russo, 98, formerly of Cranston, late of Warwick, entered eternal Life on Saturday January 20, 2024. Born and raised in Providence, Evelyn was the beloved daughter of the late Michele and Assunta (Cifelli) Bonitati. 

She is predeceased by her brothers John Bonitati, Carmine “Joe” Bonitati, Roland Bonitati, and Michael Bonitati, and her sister, Filomena Grieco. She leaves her loving husband, Anthony Russo, with whom she shared 76 blessed and dedicated years of marriage. As a loving family matriarch, she cherished and supported not only her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren, but also her many nieces, nephews and other beloved relatives and friends, sharing the joys and sorrows of life.  She leaves behind two children, Joseph Russo and Beverly (Mark) Ouellet and two grandchildren, Gregory (Jennifer) Ouellet and Lauren (Breton) Roussel.  She adored her three great-grandchildren, Luke, Simon, and Emilia, whose laughter brought so much joy to her golden years.

A woman of profound faith, Evelyn's relationship with God guided her throughout her entire life. Evelyn’s family is exceptionally grateful for the dedicated and compassionate care provided by her caregivers Elisabete Goins, Lorena Perez, Daniela Olmedo, and Jackie Grullon.

Visitation will be held at “WOODLAWN”  Funeral Home, 600 Pontiac Ave, Cranston on Wednesday January 24 from 9-10 AM with a Mass of Christian Burial at 11am  at Holy Apostles Church, Cranston. Burial will follow at St. Ann Cemetery.
