Epaminondas "Peter" Zarokostas

Epaminondas “Peter” Zarokostas, 79, of Pawtucket, passed away unexpectedly on Monday, December 1, 2025 at the Miriam Hospital in Providence. He was the beloved husband of Maria (Grafos) Zarokostas for 55 years. 

Born in Leonidio, Greece, he was the son of the late Konstantinos and Irene (Trikoulis) Zarokostas. 

Epaminondas was the owner and head cook at Maria’s Breakfast & Lunch Restaurant, where he worked alongside his wife for 24 years. He was extremely dedicated not only to his work but also to his family and friends, always going out of his way to make sure everyone was well taken care of. 

Besides his wife, Epaminondas is survived by his children Konstantinos and Irene Zarokostas, his beloved grandchildren Jordan and Jada Zarokostas. He was also the brother of Jean Likos, Sofia Tzanetos, and Georgia Lysikatos. 

A private funeral service was held at Annunciation Greek Orthodox Church in Cranston. Followed by his burial in North Burial Ground, Providence.
