Edward T. McGovern Jr.

Edward T. McGovern Jr, of Cranston, passed away early Friday morning, January 14, 2022. Born June 10, 1945, in New York City, he was the son of the late Edward T. McGovern and Agnes (Egan) McGovern.

He leaves three children, Robert McGovern and his wife Kristen of Austin, TX, Stacey McGovern of New York City, and Lauren Amaral and her husband Chad of Dartmouth, MA; his loving companion, Sherry Avella of Cranston; and his grandchildren, Max, Ryan and Lucy.

He was the brother of Sr. Ursula McGovern OP, and Cathleen Sheridan.

Relatives and friends are invited to a Mass of Christian Burial, Monday, Jan. 17, at 10am in St. Mark Church, Cranston. Burial will be private. Calling hours will be Sunday afternoon, from 2pm until 5pm, in the “WOODLAWN” Funeral Home, 600 Pontiac Ave., Cranston.
