Donald E. Galli

Donald E. Galli, 87 of Cranston, passed away April 10, 2022. He was the beloved husband for 64 years of Eleanor “Ellie” (Koonz) Galli. Born in Providence a son of the late Rebello “Roy” Galli and Lena (Henderson) Galli. He was a graduate of Cranston High School East, where he was on the hockey team. He earned his BA & MA Ed. from the University of Rhode Island. Don was an English teacher at Warwick Veterans Memorial High School and was the long-time hockey coach and advisor for the Lettermen’s Club. He was a life-long fan of the Boston Bruins and Boston Red Sox. Don also enjoyed the outdoors with family and friends at his log cabin in Center Barnstead, NH. He was the beloved father of Pamela J. Galli of North Kingstown, Andrew E. Galli and his wife Elba Garcia of Baltimore, MD, Steven M. Galli of North Scituate, RI., and the late Jonathan D. Galli. Loving grandfather of Samantha Galli and James Galli of North Scituate, RI. He was the brother of the late Dorothy Smith. Relatives and friends are invited to attend his Funeral Service Thursday, April 21, at 11 AM at St. David’s on the Hill Church, 200 Meshanticut Valley Parkway, Cranston. Burial will follow at Quidnessett Memorial Cemetery.  VISITATION WEDNESDAY APRIL 20, from 4 to 7 PM at “WOODLAWN” Funeral Home, 600 Pontiac Ave., Cranston.
