Deonecia Louvaris

Deonecia Louvaris, 78, of Warwick, passed away peacefully, Wednesday evening, May 28, 2025. Born in Butte, Montana, she was a daughter of the late George and Panagiota (Thonopoulos) Louvaris.

Deonecia, lovingly called “Denny” by her family, moved to Nebraska in 1959 where she completed grade school while being an active member in the school choir and All City Music Festival.  After graduating she went on to learn new skills, worked various jobs, and eventually settled in Rhode Island with her daughter.  Deonecia enjoyed spending time with her family, knitting, board games, word search puzzles, classic movies, music, eating out, and the casino.  

Deonecia will be remembered for her strength, her unique sense of humor, and her infectious laugh.  She was described as a “character” and everyone around her loved the stories she shared.  She is loved and will be missed.  May her memory be eternal.  

She leaves her daughter and son-in-law, Regina and Todd Dionne; and her three granddaughters, Haley Deonecia, Stephanie Diana and Sophia Dorothy. She was the sister of Katherine Louvaris, Peter Louvaris (his wife, Marie), her sister-in-law, Maria Louvaris wife of her late brother Steve Louvaris, the late Constance Petrihos, the late Georgia Louvaris, and the late Nicolette Jording. She also leaves may nieces and nephews and great nieces and great nephews.

Following Deonecia’s expressed wishes, her funeral and burial will be private.
